Description
As a key player in the company's future, the Logistics Agent will contribute to the team’s efforts in business development and in the optimization of existing accounts.
- Assist the logistics coordinator with daily tasks
- Act as an ambassador for the company to customers
- Answer customer's phone calls and emails in a timely manner
- Order taking
- Data entry into the computer system
- Act as a link between customers and the various teams within the company
- Perform follow-ups on shipments with suppliers and customers
- Ensure you have all necessary documentation at the time of shipment
- Complete all charters and records requested by client agreements
- Track in-transit and stationary equipment, based on written schedules, customer requests or as required in case of an emergency
- Obtain information on the pickup and delivery environment for each shipment
- Use and optimize the database to be able to coordinate shipments
- Update data regarding current shipments
- Making appointments for transporters
- Any other related duties
Requirements
- ACS or DCS in transportation logistics or any equivalent training
- Less than 3 years of experience in the air and/or ocean freight forwarding industry
- Bilingual (English-French) spoken and written
- Good listening and communication skills both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ethical and professional in their work behaviour
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
