The Logistics Coordinator – Ocean Import will contribute to Synergie Canada's growth as an ambassador by providing personalized and innovative services to customers. You will do more than transport goods from one point to another, you will help our customers manage their supply chain while accompanying them throughout the entire import process.

  • Ensure customers' logistics needs are met in choosing the right mean of transportation
  • Ensure pre-bid quotes are met
  • Import planning with customers (dates required for loading)
  • Manage bookings with shipping lines and worldwide agents
  • Verify the required import documentation
  • Take full charge of shipment and manage expedition within determined time frame
  • Manage documentation: Bill of Lading, Export Declaration, etc.
  • Track shipments with suppliers and notify customers
  • Coordinate shipment arrivals with customs agents, delivery, etc.
  • Bill and approve supplier invoices
  • Manage complaints from customers
  • Effective and transparent communication with customers
  • Act as a link between customers and Synergie Teams
  • Prioritize shipments based on urgency or importance
  • Create solutions to the various logistics challenges that may arise before and during the movement of goods
  • AEC or DEC in transport logistics or any equivalent training
  • Min 6 months of experience in the air and / or ocean freight industry
  • Good knowledge of the international transit industry
  • Good knowledge of the 2020 Incoterms
  • Hazardous Materials Certification an asset
  • Bilingual (English — French) spoken and written
  • Knowledge of freight prices an asset
  • Able to work at an accelerated pace and under pressure
  • Autonomous, comfortable making decisions in changing situations
