Duties

  • Provide stakeholders*** with requested rates and/or quotations
  • Follow up on quotes with stakeholders***.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis and reporting as required 
  • Optimize communication with suppliers regarding rates
  • Promote the company's services and products to our partners
  • Make suggestions to improve the services and products offered
  • Participate in purchasing strategies with designated managers
  • Participate in the company's pricing database
  • *** Stakeholders being: Customers, Agents, or requests from sales people

Expectations

  • Understand the needs of the customers and offer the optimal logistic solution at all times
  • Ensure effective and timely communication with customers
  • Participate in educating customers about our services or the industry
  • Act as a liaison between customers and the various teams within the company
  • Make submissions within a maximum of 24 hours, unless otherwise specified

Requirements
  • AEC or DEC in transportation logistics or any equivalent training
  • Minimum 3-year experience in this position in the air and/or ocean freight forwarding industry
  • Good knowledge of Incoterms 2020
  • Hazardous materials certification an asset
  • Bilingual (English - French) spoken and written
  • Knowledge of freight rates an asset

Terms and conditions of employment

  • Probationary period: 3 months following the starting date;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
  • Status: Permanent;
  • Group insurance after 3 months of service;
  • RRSP after 3 months of service;
  • A total of 40 hours is offered for work/life balance purposes on an annual basis
  • 2 weeks vacation
